Some of my friends now use Skype for their home phone lines. And I've seriously considered getting a Skype phone and account to replace my landline or cell phone. If you're a regular Skype user, check out this great freebie.
In celebration of Eid, Skype is giving away free credit vouchers to Skype users. You need to go to their promotional site
http://happy.skype.com and register with your email address that's linked to your Skype user account. You'll then receive up to 30 total minutes of calling. Skype does say that the 30 calling minutes is based on a single call to a landline or mobile phone. Connection fees and different calling rates may apply, and presumably, these extra charges would be charged to the 30 minutes of Skype credits. Be sure to redeem your credits by March 31, 2011.
Kudos to Skype, by the way, for recognizing an important Muslim holiday!
