I’ve been fascinated by the story of how facebook burst onto the scene and became one of the biggest destinations on the web. I’m currently reading David Kirkpatrick’s excellent book, the Facebook Effect, The Inside Story of the Company That Is Connecting the World. It’s a great read and very thought-provoking. And, if you want a more entertaining and “gossipy” read about the facebook story, also check out The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook by Ben Mezrich. “The Accidental Billionaires” is being made into a new movie on facebook called “The Social Network”, due out in theaters this fall!
