Vancouver Area: Aberdeen Mall's First Chinese Emperor Exhibit (Free)
Aberdeen Centre Mall (in Richmond, BC) has a great free exhibit
on the First Emperor of China. It is called "Return of the First Emperor,
One Man, Two Wonders of the World", which runs from July 24 - August 30.
The show include a sand sculpture of the Great Wall of China and also life-size replicas of the First Emperor of China's terracotta warriors. A great history lesson! http://www.aberdeencentre.com/pdf/emperor.jpg

Borders Coupon for 40% Off the List Price of Merchandise

Borders is offering a coupon for 40% off the list-price of one item. This is an in-store coupone.
This is a great discount if you want to buy a new paperback or new hardcover book.

The offer says that it's "Valid with Borders Rewards membership only" and it can't be combined with any other offers. Also, this coupon cannot be used with some items. The coupon is good until 8/9/09.

The last book I purchased at Borders was David Liss' book "The Coffee
Trader" and it was a great historical thriller. The book was also a good diversion because I was travelling through the US and Mexico at the time. I would be interested to check out some new historical novels at Borders.
