you download the B&N app for iPhone.

and "show the café server your iPhone with the Barnes & Noble Bookstore application on display along with the on-screen coupon code."
When you have shown the app to the server, you will get a complimentary Starbucks Tall Brewed Coffee (hot or cold) at a B&N Cafe.

This offer allows one free Starbucks coffee per iPhone customer. This is a limited time offer as B&N and Starbucks could end this offer soon. I'm not sure if this will work on an iPod Touch, but it's worth a try because iPod Touch's can also run iPhone apps.
