Redesigned Site

I hope you like the new design. I aimed to make the site more readable and consistent, and it
should help you find what you need more quickly.

Speaking of web design, here is one guy's list of the top 10 well-designed sites on the web. I'm not saying that my site is at their level, but it's something to aspire to.

Free McDonald's Mocha or Caramel Frappé

If you live in western Washington (Seattle and nearby communities), you're in luck.

of one Frappé per person per visit and it's valid only at participating locations.

You need to show them the free coupon and you can print the free coupon at this McDonald's promo site. Wow, it looks delicious. It'll make a nice treat at the end of a long work day or long shopping trip.

Free Tickets to New Jersey Nets NBA Game (For Real!!)

If you live in the New York City/New Jersey area, you'll love this freebie. You can get

There is a small convenience charge of 0.75$ per ticket, and you only have a 1 minute time limit to complete the order, but you do get the free tickets. The limit is 2 tickets.

I've followed the Nets on and off over the years, and they've been having a tough start to the season. I enjoyed the years when they had Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin. Those stars are gone now but they do have some exciting young players in Chris Douglas-Roberts and Devin Harris.

You can sign up for a free sample of Jennifer Lopez's new My Glow Perfume. Wow, the perfume has only been out since last month only but there are already free samples of it being given out. Just sign up for this freebie at
This should be a good perfume too as her previous ones (like Glow by J Lo) have received good reviews.

For me personally, J Lo has put out some pretty good songs, but her movies have been a mixed bag. But I did like her movies, "Selena" and "The Wedding Planner".

Free DVD Movie Rental from Redbox

I've been renting movies from DVD rental kiosks for a few years now.
I love the convenience and the affordability. Most kiosks like Moviecube and
Redbox rent new movie rentals for only a few dollars.

So I'm definitely going to try the free movie rental offer from Redbox. You just need to go to Redbox's signup page at http://www.redbox.com/Help/Signup.aspx
and register your email. When you register your email address, you'll receive one night's free rental from Redbox. Their kiosks are very conveniently located too. Many of Redbox's movie rental kiosks are located at supermarkets, drugstores (such as Walgreens), McDonalds restaurants, and also at convenience stores.

It looks like this freebie won't help Mac users, as it is a freebie to celebrate
the launch of Windows 7. But hey, Mac users have it made anyways,
they usually get less viruses than Windows users.

Free Liquid Laundry Sample from Seventh Generation

I'm switching to environmentally friendly laundry detergents. In the past year, I've been using Borax and other enviro-friendly detergents. Now, I've found out that Seventh Generation laundry detergent is giving out free samples of their laundry product so I'm
going to try their product too.

They say that their product is a "healthy way to fight tough stains, naturally". You can get their free laundry sample by following this process:
1. Register your email address at http://www.seventhgeneration.com/user/register?destination=node%2F120109 at
2. Go to http://www.seventhgeneration.com/offers/liquid-laundry-sample-request-form
to request the free laundry sample.

They say it is limited to 1 customer per household. And the offer is valid to U.S. and Canadian residents.

Free Coupon for Clover Leaf Flavored Canned Tuna

Hey everyone:

Cloverleaf is giving out a free coupon for a flavoured canned tuna product.

complete the survey and submit your mailing address in order to get the coupon. This freebie

There is the "can-can", a French dance performed by women in revealing dresses. There is "getting canned" or getting fired. And "can" is also a slang term for toilet, etc. ,etc.

Free Starbucks Coffee Coupon When you download Barnes & Noble iPhone App

I need my hit of coffee almost every morning before work. So, when I read about this new Starbucks and Barnes and Noble promo, I was very excited.
Starbucks and B&N are giving away a free tall Starbucks Coffee when
you download the B&N app for iPhone.

Basically, you just need to download the free Barnes and Noble app - http://www.barnesandnoble.com/iphone/index.asp?r=1&r=1
and "show the café server your iPhone with the Barnes & Noble Bookstore application on display along with the on-screen coupon code."
When you have shown the app to the server, you will get a complimentary Starbucks Tall Brewed Coffee (hot or cold) at a B&N Cafe.

More details at http://www.barnesandnoble.com/email/nonav.asp?r=1&PID=28966&r=1

This offer allows one free Starbucks coffee per iPhone customer. This is a limited time offer as B&N and Starbucks could end this offer soon. I'm not sure if this will work on an iPod Touch, but it's worth a try because iPod Touch's can also run iPhone apps.

How to Earn Free Stuff (like Amazon gift certificates) on Swagbucks.com

If you haven't heard of SwagBucks, swag bucks are virtual dollars that you can earn by doing searches or entering bonus codes on their site swagbucks.com. They can be used to redeem "free" prizes thru their site. For example, 80 SwagBucks nets you a $5 paypal credit, and when you earn 45 swagbucks, you can redeem it for a $5 Amazon gift certificate.

Swagbucks also has a twitter site where they give you time limited Bonus credits. For example, over the July 4 weekend, Swagbucks users who entered the word "Independence" (now expired), earned 1 extra swagbuck.

I set swagbucks.com as my home page and I use it to do google searches every day. I usually earn about 1 swagbuck each day just by doing searches that I ordinarily do anyways. On top of this I earn a few extra Bonus swagbucks by entering the bonus codes like "Independence". I'm on track to getting my Amazon $5 gift certificate, hopefully I'll get it by next week.

If you don't have a Swagbucks account, you can register for one through Swagbucks' registration page. Check it out and enjoy it!

Hot! Old Navy Discount Coupons: Up to $65 off $100 Purchases

Over the holiday long weekend (Happy 4th of July and Happy Canada Day to all
E-Offerz readers), I came across some great Old Navy Coupons.
They have created an interactive site http://www.oldnavyweekly.com which has hidden coupons (hidden secret codes) on the site. The site changes the coupons regularly with chances for more coupons.

Currently, they have coupons for $10 off $50 purchases, $15 off $75 purchases, and a very rare $65 off $100 purchase.
Old Navy has created clever ways for you to get the coupons. When you're at oldnavyweekly.com,
you're doing a web scavenger hunt for the coupons:

1. For example, a $10 off $50 Old Navy coupon, click, hold, drag and drop the open mirror compact, keys and one of the change purses into striped tote.

2.To get a $15 off $75 coupon, drag the letter "E" keys into the cargo pocket of the girl with the olive colored pants.

3. For more clues to get other coupons, you can visit http://twitter.com/supermodelquin or
the Slickdeals discussion site on Old Navy Coupons at http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1395797

4. If you want to check to see what coupons are left, you can view their coupon counter at http://media.oldnavyweekly.com/swf/modules/dealCounter_101.swf

These coupons are available for shoppers in the U.S.A. and Canada.

Free Album MP3 Downloads: Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails & Others

Recently, I found more evidence that musicians and the recording industry are
moving towards an online model of selling and promoting music instead of
selling CD's in stores.

Two of the biggest bands in the world are offering their albums free for downloading.
(Note: all of the download links listed below are legal download promotions offered
by the artists mentioned below).

Coldplay is one of my favorite bands in the world. I last bought their excellent
CD "Viva la Vida: Or Death and all his Friends". Coldplay is also well-known
to be very appreciative of their fans. In their fan-friendly tradition,
Coldplay are offering their live album "Left Right Left Right Left",
for free downloading. Just go to http://www.coldplay.com/lrlrl/lr.html
This is a pretty good compilation of live recorded songs and it contains
live versions of classic such as "Clocks" and "Viva la Vida".

The other uber-popular band, Nine Inch Nails, is making their current cd
"The Slip" available for free download for an indefinite period.
Just download the album at http://theslip.nin.com/
I love the raw sound of NIN and 2 of my favourite tracks on this cd include
Demon Seed and Discipline.

If you're into more rock-oriented sounds, Chris Cornell
(of Audioslave and Soundgarden fame)
also has put out a track (called "Long Gone") for free download.
Just go to

With the plethora of free promotional downloads from bands, we have more evidence
that the music industry is addressing the piracy problem and starting to respond to
fans' needs to get their music online. In return, the artists are making money through

It's a great entry level GPS navigator with 3.5 inch color touchscreen control, and I've read that it is very fast, compared to similar models from Garmin. You can buy the Tom Tom GPS
at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001OAT9M0?ie=UTF8&tag=eofblhodeanmo-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B001OAT9M0

July 15, 2009.

2. The Oral-B Pulsonic Sonic Electric Toothbrush is $30.87 after mail-in rebate. The regular price is $70. Again, Amazon says you need to add the item to the cart. Once it is in your amazon "shopping cart", Amazon will show you the awesome price. Here is the link:

Pizza Hut Coupons: All You Can Eat Lunch Coupon for $5

Pizza Hut has some great coupons to help you through the recession. The coupon
lets you have All-You-Can-Eat Lunch Buffet for $5 (the regular price for their
all you can eat buffet is $7.99). Other coupons include
a Carryout special for 2 medium pizzas for $10.99. Or you can geta medium "Any Way You
Want It" pizza for $11.99. You can print the coupons at

The last time I visited Pizza Hut was when I was in China in February so
I will use these coupons to try a Pizza Hut in North America.
I have to say that the Pizza Huts in China seem much cleaner and tidier than the
Pizza Hut restaurants in the U.S. and in Canada. Also, the Chinese Pizza Huts have some dishes that are catered to local Chinese tastes. For example, the smoothies include green tea flavour and the salad bars are very well-decorated.

Free SkyMiles Offers from Delta Airlines

Delta Airlines has a couple of free offers to earn Sky Miles frequent flyer miles/points. You need to sign up to receive Delta emails and then they will give you the sky miles.

1. Sign up to receive Delta emails on flight deals and earn 1,500 Bonus Miles
(this offer was reported to be working for most Delta members):

2. Sign up at this link to receive additional Delta emails on flight deals and earn 500 Bonus Miles (this offer may not work for everyone because you need to have received a previous email invitation from Delta for the 500 Bonus Miles):

Delta says the offer is good until July 8, 2009. Delta's fine print also says: "Your bonus miles will appear automatically on your SkyMiles statement and will be awarded at the end of the promotional validity period to those customers who are still opted-in to receive email communications," so remember to stay opted-in for Delta emails after July 8.

MiGhtyDocs: The Best Free Office App for reading Word, Excel, and PDF files on the iPhone and iPod touch

Recently, I started using the program MiGhtyDocs (http://www.v1ru8.net/mightydocs/) on my iPod Touch. I must say that this app has allowed me to do a lot more on my iPod Touch.

This program lets me read Microsoft Word files, Excel files, and Acrobat PDF files on the iPhone and iPod touch. In order to read your files, you do need to setup
a free account on Google Docs and then upload the files you want to read onto your Google Docs account. You then need to install MiGhtyDocs onto your iPod Touch or iPhone through iTunes.

When you click on the MiGhty Docs App on your iPhone or iPod Touch, MiGhtyDocs will then pull your documents and let you read them on your device. If you let MiGhtyDocs download all your documents from Google Docs, MiGhtyDocs will also store the files locally on your iPhone or iTouch device so that you don't need to connect via the internet or wifi in order to read your documents the next time. This will also save you battery life because wifi uses up a lot of battery life on the iPod Touch.

The only drawback of this app is that it won't allow you to edit your files, but it seems like the iPhone and iPod Touch have not been enabled to edit documents. For example, other document viewing apps such as Caravan (a $2.99 app on the Apple App store) also do not allow editting of PDF, Word, or Excel files. This seems to be a limitation of the syncing system through iTunes. If you need to edit and create these types of files, you might need to revert back to an old school Palm or Pocket PC pda.

Photo views of the MiGhtyDocs app icon (top pic)
and MiGhtyDocs' display of Word, Excel and PDF icons (bottom pic)

So there you have it folks, this is the best free app for viewing Word, Excel, and PDF files on your iPhone and iPod Touch. Now you can turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into an e-reader like Amazon's Kindle device. Happy reading!

Earn Up to 3250 Flying Blue Miles for Free (KLM Airlines/Air France)

Recently, I came across a promotional offer to earn Up to 3,250 Frequent Flyer Miles on the Flying Blue Program (sponsored by KLM Airlines/Air France). Here's how I did it:

1. I signed up for a new Flying Blue account thru KLM Airline's website and earned 1,000 Flying Blue Miles for free.

2. I then registered at Flying Blue's golf website http://www.flyingbluegolf.com
and earned Bonus 250 miles. (The site says the "Bonus 250 miles will be credited to your account in 2-3 days after registration.")

3. Next, I filled out a short questionnaire at http://quest.airfranceklm.com which will give
me another 1,000 Free award miles. (The site said that "Miles will be credited within 2 months after validation of the questionnaire.").

4. And finally, I found another questionnaire that will award another 1,000 Flying Blue miles if
it was completed. The questionnaire is at:
These questionnaire offers are probably available for a limited time so you need to sign up soon.

I have never flown on Air France or KLM but their Flying Blue Program looks really good because it is also part of the Sky Team Alliance (http://www.skyteam.com/), which allows members to earn frequent flyer miles / points from member airlines including Delta, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Korean Air, and Aeromexico. The only drawback of the Flying Blue Program is that the earned points expire if no airplane ticket (from the member airlines above) is purchased within a 20 month period. However, the list of airlines is broad and I will probably be flying to New York City soon anyway.
